Part of the redevelopment of Old Portsmouth dock areas heritage site included the transformation of former military barracks creating 13 studios and a deli-style cafe. Dating back to the 15th Century the Hotwalls Studios were previously artillery barrack.
We fabricated and installed Reynaers CW50 and CS77 doors. Glazing the arches involved a complex survey of the radii of numerous arches, built in brick work several hundred years ago. The curtain walling then had to be bent and fitted to the clients tolerances.
The Architecture team was lead by EMRC, the project was shortlisted for the RIBA South Awards 2017.
